Now just a day after Christmas we can continue to rejoice in the birth of our Savior. Not only was He born, but through His sacrifice on the cross and His glorious resurrection, He defeated sin, death and the devil. Ronald Reagan once said, “Some people say I’m very simplistic. But there is a difference between being simplistic and simple. A lot of things are very simple if you think them through. So, keeping that in mind, here is my strategy on the cold war: we win, they lose.” All that is necessary for salvation and a daily walk with the Lord is to embrace by faith the simple and clear truth of Scripture. And when it comes to the war with sin, death and the devil: we win, they lose! “What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” Be encouraged and keep this in your heart and mind as you begin the New Year.
