"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!"

-2 Corinthians 9:15

With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas just ahead, giving and gifts somehow begin to occupy our minds. There is one gift far greater and incomparable with other gifts. This gift is not only the greatest but also the most expensive of all gifts. Only God could pay the price and purchase it for you. God in Christ Jesus "gave himself as a ransom for all." That includes you. If you had an eternity to pay that price, you nor anyone else could do it. We are helpless when it comes to earning this gift, but "while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly." "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Multitudes are trying to earn it through good works and religious practices when it is already paid for. All they need to do is receive it. For "as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." This Christmas season offer people the greatest gift. Tell them how they can receive Christ as their Savior. Be encouraged!
