“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy.”

- Jude 24

When Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water, his faith soon failed him “and immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him”… This can be almost a daily experience for the believer to stumble or yield in some way to temptation and sin. But in the words of the Psalmist, “When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; because the Lord is the One who holds his hand”. The Lord is sufficient for you when you stand and when you fall. When a child falls, his father will pick him up and so it is with the Lord. But the beauty of the verse goes beyond our present life. Not only can He keep us from stumbling and pick us up when we do, but in the end He makes us stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy. Only God can take a sinner, lift him from the pits of sin, put him on his feet so he can walk in this life with the Lord and end up standing with Him in glory. Be encouraged!
