encouragement Christmas2

"...I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people."

-Luke 2:10

The birth of Christ was followed by the announcement of an angel that this news was to be great joy for all the people. What great joy, which is available to all, when one accepts by faith, “there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”. Jesus is the greatest source of joy that one can have in this life and the one to come. The Apostle Paul who was constantly facing hardship could still pen the words, “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I will say rejoice.” No matter what we face in life, Christ is always there as the great joy of our life. When we focus solely our personal issues combined with the spiritual, political and moral climate that surrounds us, we can find ourselves in the depths of despair and robbed of our joy. Christ is our Savior. Rejoice! We, through Him, are forgiven of our sin. Rejoice! We are going to heaven. Rejoice! The Lord is with us now, and we will be with Him for all eternity. Rejoice! As it is written, “My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.” Be encouraged!
