"And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars... and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
-Matthew 24:6-7
Last week, another earthquake occurred in California, and this week, in Texas. Earthquakes have always occurred, but the recent increase in frequency and intensity reminds us of biblical prophecy yet to be fulfilled. Increasing conflicts, both in and among the nations, and the rise of natural disasters will characterize the end times. Perhaps nature is beginning to show us what God has long revealed. Should we react by reducing our carbon footprint or preparing to meet our God? The Book of Revelation tells us Armageddon will be marked with a “great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it and so mighty.” Jesus said, when there is “dismay among the nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves..., for the powers of heaven will be shaken..., straighten up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near.” Be encouraged!
