“Consider it All Joy...”
-James 1:2
The context of this joy is in the midst of trials we face in life. But grumbling, complaining, and blame-shifting seem to come much easier than joy in this day of victimization. As believers, we must remember that God allows all kinds of trials for our own benefit and good. They can come in the form of disappointments, accusations, broken relationships, opposition, the loss of health or financial security or even suffering. But the Lord uses these trials to refine us, to prove us, and make us stronger so we can glorify God in the end. They serve to increase our faith and produce in us the righteous character of Jesus Christ. "Therefore we do not lose heart… for momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison."
