"...for when I am weak, then I am strong."

- 2 Corinthians 12:10

As believers, do we even want to admit that we are weak? Do we see weakness as a benefit in our spiritual lives? The Lord is well pleased to work with weak and ordinary people as the strong and powerful usually fail to see their need to rely upon Him. Although Paul was a man of faith, it did not mean, in any way, that he was experiencing a trouble free life. In the context of the above verse, he mentioned,“…insults with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake…” Many today present Christianity as all health and wealth or themselves as supermen or superwomen for Christ. But the Lord specializes in using people with clay feet who know they have clay feet and prove it in their daily lives. In God’s economy,“…there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble.” As a believer seeking to serve and please the Lord, you will never be trouble free in this life as a result of your faith. However, the end result of a faithful life is that we will find our strength in the power of God. Be encouraged!
