CYWY offers events that support conscious choices!

Changes, Choices & Chances

Change meets us in many forms — some chosen, some unexpected. What shapes us most is not the change itself, but how we meet it. When we pause, breathe, and respond with awareness, change becomes a doorway to growth, clarity, and renewal.

I imagine you, like me right now, find yourself navigating changes, choices, and chances — each one offering its own invitation and opportunity for growth and transformation.

Today, I am announcing changes to the CYWY Yoga schedule (see below).

Below is a little history about CYWY Yoga:

In 2020, when COVID closed the yoga studios, I stepped away from formal employment and began offering free online classes within the CYWY community.

I shaped the schedule around what I sensed people needed, and for six years we’ve grown into a constellation of small, heartfelt groups — each day gathering a slightly different circle of wonderful yogis and yoginis.

This spring, I began to notice that committing to a five‑day‑a‑week schedule — along with preparing and guiding the Empowered Living Chat, attending other CYWY Circles, and tending to the ongoing work that keeps CYWY alive (including this E‑News, website, and event announcements) — was stretching me too thin.

I needed to shift things to support balance.

As I make the changes I need, I invite you to ask yourself if anything in your life needs to change.

Here are a few questions to explore:

▪ How might my shift inspire your own?
▪ Where in your life are you being called to make a change?
▪ What choices are asking for your attention or your courage?
▪ What chances — small or large — might open something new for you?
How might my shift inspire your own?
Where in your life are you being called to make a change?
What choices are asking for your attention or your courage?
What chances — small or large — might open something new for you?

CYWY offers opportunities for you to explore "seeing" yourself, what you need, what your choices are, and how to allow both to create chances for transformations that support you.

▪ The question for you right now is, which event is right for you?

Yoga has the power to connect us to ourselves, to our communities, and to something greater.

This week there will be no Sunday class, in the weeks ahead I will take off some Sundays and Thursdays, making space for more balance in my life.

As we move into the fall, after the Empowered Living Chat is complete in September, and after Paul and I return from an Italian vacation, the Yoga schedule will shift to M-W-F.

I will occasionally announce "special" Sunday, and evening classes. We might try starting M-W-F at 9:00 AM instead of 10, stay tuned.

I realize these changes won't work for everyone. And I also realize others who haven't been able to attend may join us.

I know it is impossible to please everyone, and I trust that Divine order will find its way creating new choices and chances for us all.

Pre-recorded yoga classes are available on our YouTube channel to support you to continue or start a practice.

I will continue to create new recorded classes too. Be sure to leave a comment so I know you are out there watching.

UPCOMING PROPOSED WORKSHOP W/Sophia Carmien (fee-based)

Three Essential Forces in a Well-Lived Life

What helps us feel grounded and supported? What creates a sense of belonging and connection? What brings passion, vitality, and aliveness to our lives?

The instincts are among the most powerful and least understood dimensions of the Enneagram. In this experiential workshop, we'll explore the three instincts as fundamental forces that are active in every person. The self-preservation instinct supports well-being, sustainability, and our relationship with resources. The social instinct supports connection, belonging, participation, and contribution. The attraction/passion instinct supports energetic attraction, intimacy, intensity, creation, and aliveness.

Together, we will:

▪ Explore how these instincts show up in everyday life
▪ Learn to recognize them through embodied experience
▪ Examine the ways they influence our lives
▪ Choose new ways to engage with them
