"You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand."
-James 5:8
The sudden rise of a European leader captivating the attention of the world, Russia's aggression, high inflation and the worst famine on record in parts of Africa are just a picture of what will take place prior to the coming of the Lord. All the above give us a glimpse of what lies ahead in the Seal Judgments during the first half of the Tribulation which is yet to come. Perhaps the Lord's intent in His sovereignty over these things is to encourage us to be “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus." Right now, we have to endure the temptations and trials of life coupled with a world that continues to move away from God and bringing with it a greater opposition to our faith. However, do not be dismayed. As promised, He will come quickly, and His rewards for us will be with Him, and …"when He appears, we shall be like Him..." The Scripture tells us, "Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord." For “according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.” Be encouraged!
