"...For God has not destined us for wrath..."

-1 Thessalonians 5:9

With lawlessness on the increase, racial and civil unrest, moral decline and dwindling support of Israel, many believers are convinced America is heading for judgment. America is certainly not alone in this because when the Day of Judgment comes, “the Lord’s indignation is against all the nations”. But should we who have Christ as our Savior live in fear? In the context of His coming judgment Isaiah writes, “Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you.” He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you”. This is why we can grasp with childlike faith that our “God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Praise be to the Lord and be encouraged!
