"...I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments..."

-Deuteronomy 30:16

I have heard people say I am not growing in my Christian life and even use that as a reason to look for another church. If you feel that in any way, perhaps you should first examine why this seems to be true in your life. Jesus said, "He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him." I learned a long time ago that if I wanted to sense the great love of God for me, if I wanted Him to disclose more of Himself to me, I needed to obey what He has always given me from His word. Why would the Lord give you more when you are not responding to what He has already given you to obey? Perhaps you feel that you are not being fed in your present situation because you have not responded in obedience to what you have already been fed. There is, without question, to experience His love for you, for Him to make more of Himself known to you, there is no substitute for obedience. If we love the Lord and obey Him, He will manifest His love and a deeper knowledge of Himself each and every day. Be encouraged!
