Who is Jesus? The answer to this question has eternal consequences and is a matter of heaven or hell. For the Muslim, He is a prophet but not as great as Mohammed and did not die for our sins. For the Mormon, He is the spirit brother of Satan and a polygamist. For the Jehovah's Witness, He is the created rather than the Creator and not resurrected from the dead. For the Christian Scientist, He "was born of the Virgin Mary's thought" with no physical death or resurrection. For the Roman Catholic, His work on the cross is not sufficient to atone for our sin; therefore, baptism and inclusion into the Roman Catholic Church are necessary. For the Free Mason, He is neither Lord nor Savior. All of the above are false and not the Jesus of the Bible. Peter had the right answer. "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." The early church confirmed the biblical truth about Jesus. He is very God, the only One who can save. Only childlike faith in Him alone is necessary for salvation. Yes, He is "our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus." Be encouraged!
