"For we are a fragrance of Christ to God..."

-2 Corinthians 2:15

As you live your life in 2020, will you have an impact on those around you? Will you, by being seen by them, known by them, working with them or living around or with them, cause those people in your life to give any thought about God or their eternal future? The Scripture tells us, "…we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life." Those whom the Lord places in our lives, should not be able to pass by without giving some thought to the reality of God who is both saving and just. We want people to look beyond the temporal to what lies ahead in the eternal future. When we live out the gospel and proclaim the gospel, people will either turn to Christ or embrace the doom of death by rejecting the Savior. How often do people, when asked about eternity, respond by saying, "I haven't given it much thought?" Part of our calling is to cause them to give it much thought. So in 2020, you have the privilege, as a believer, of being a "fragrance of Christ to God," knowing the Lord will use you to influence some to choose life over death. Be encouraged!
