Welcome to June 2021.

I am planning two newsletters this month; this lexicon of civility and decency is the first. Please feel free to add your own lexicon items. I appreciate receiving them so I can add them to further revisions of this, with credit to you, of course.

What I Believe

All questionable, inappropriate, unethical, unconscionable, immoral, predatory, improper, victim-producing, and criminal behaviors are intentional.

All ethical, moral, compassionate, decent, civil, and lawful behaviors are also intentional.

The choice is always clear and always yours.

Each of these words is a pathway to civility, decency, and integrity; pick as many as you can. The opposite of any of these words only leads to more trouble, prolonged problems, delayed mitigation and resolution, revictimizing those already injured.

Constant Reminders

1. Think up, higher, broader, deeper, and always before you edit.
2. Think to inspire, to motivate, to educate.
3. Forget the rest.

Over time I’ll be adding definitions to this list, but I’m hoping you already have your own definitions.

Have a great month and keep it civil.
