"How long, O Lord...?"

-Habakkuk 1:2

Habakkuk was a unique prophet. While the other prophets spoke to the people about God's judgment, Habakkuk spoke to God and begged for it to come. Godly men and women, past and present have often asked, "How long, O Lord?", in regard to the judgment of sin. The martyred saints of the Great Tribulation will cry out, "How long, O Lord... wilt Thou refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" It is written "the present heaven and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men." Do not let the sin of the world get you down. God will judge it. Do not wallow in the sin of the world, God will judge it. In the meantime, the Lord is not slow concerning His promise of judgment but is long suffering not wishing for any to perish. Therefore, cry out to the Lord to bring an end to sin! And cry out to men to turn from sin! Be encouraged!
