“Serve the Lord with gladness...”

- Psalm 100:2

Peter warned, “that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming?” As believers, we would never mock God with such words because we know Jesus someday will return to earth from heaven. However, without saying a word we can mock God by how we live. Here in our comfortable, non-threatening Christianity, it is easy to live as if Christ is not coming. We can live like tomorrow is just another day and next year just another year. When actor/singer, David Cassidy, recently passed away at the age of 67, some of his last words were, “So much wasted time”. In the Bible, serving the Lord and waiting for His Son from heaven are inseparable. Serving the Lord and waiting for the Lord belong together. Today does not need to be just another day of so much wasted time. “This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”, as we serve the Lord who is coming again. Be encouraged!
