"The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me..."
- Luke 10:16
While sharing the Gospel from our evangelism booth at the Northern Navajo Nation Fair we found the majority of the Navajos friendly and courteous. Some were quiet and others thankful that we were there and shared their faith with us; however, that was not always the case. When she found out we were a mission, one woman immediately walked away. A young Navajo artist turned away, saying he was not into religion. without knowing who we were or why we were there, an older man stopped long enough to say he was tired of Indians being lied to. We knew that this is how he viewed the Indians being treated in the past which has led to many rejecting what they call the “white man’s” religion. Humanly speaking, rejection is hard to take unless you remember the words of our Lord. Rejection should give us a greater appreciation of our Lord and Savior because the majority of mankind has always rejected Him. It should also be a comfort to us and give us greater boldness in sharing our faith. Be encouraged!
