They can remind us of people we loved, places we’ve been, and seasons of life that are long past. Sometimes they represent who we used to be. Sometimes they represent who we thought we would become. Letting go of those things can feel like letting go of a piece of us, a dream, or an earlier version of ourselves. There can also be guilt. Letting go doesn’t mean something didn’t matter. It may simply mean that it mattered, and we no longer need to carry it. Reflection: ▪ What are you holding onto, and what does it represent? ▪ Are you keeping the item itself, or trying to hold onto the person, memory, identity, or season of life attached to it? | ▪ | What are you holding onto, and what does it represent? | | ▪ | Are you keeping the item itself, or trying to hold onto the person, memory, identity, or season of life attached to it? | Ask three questions: ▪ “Do I need this?” ▪ “What does it mean to me?” ▪ “Does it still belong in my life?” | ▪ | “What does it mean to me?” | | ▪ | “Does it still belong in my life?” | Then decide, without judgment, whether it still belongs in your life. Which event will you choose this week? CYWY offers opportunities to connect with your Self - to learn and understand why you have the habits, strategies, fears, strengths, and gifts you have. There is nothing to fix - the path is about awareness and choice. | The Good Grief Group Guided by Melody West, Grief & End of Life Coach Sat, Aug 1st, 10:00 AM MST Many types of loss cause grief. Alignment Circle Hosted by Anca Kuhns, Beyond Orion Together, we create space to slow down enough to notice what is actually happening beneath the surface: ▪ what your mind is doing, ▪ how your body is responding, ▪ where you disconnect from yourself, ▪ what relational patterns keep repeating, ▪ and what may be asking to shift, stabilize, or integrate more honestly. | ▪ | what your mind is doing, | | ▪ | how your body is responding, | | ▪ | where you disconnect from yourself, | | ▪ | what relational patterns keep repeating, | | ▪ | and what may be asking to shift, stabilize, or integrate more honestly. | This work is less about fixing yourself and more about building the capacity to stay present, aware, and connected to yourself inside difficult moments, transitions, relationships, and change. | Remembering Terry Lalley - click here for obituary | Terry and Mike Terry and Mike both taught yoga at Club USA. Terry was one of the people who inspired me to become a yoga teacher. He and his wife Lyn are in the picture with two other friends and me when we went to Mexico together. I met Mike after I started teaching yoga at Club USA. Both Terry and Mike recently transitioned and are definitely missed. If you knew and loved Terry, please consider going to his celebration of life on August 22nd at the Applewood Golf Club, 11-3. Click here for more information. Mike was in Grand Junction when he passed, and his son is now taking care of his mom, who is also ill. There is no celebration of life planned at this time. Two wonderful Yogis are now on their next adventure. | |
